The flow duct is a textile aid for optimising the infusion process in the production of fibre composites.
The tape consists of a knitted base structure and loops formed from monofilaments. These function as the flow duct that transports the resin system uniformly in the component. Available with or without self-adhesive tape on the back. With self-adhesive tape, flow duct is suitable as vacuum line, without it is used as resin feed line.
Application:
The tape supports the vacuum infusion process. It is used on the component’s feed side to introduce resin and on its discharge side to evacuate air and excess resin.
